The South Shore downtown area is streaming with nightlife. With the casinos on the Nevada state line and the Shops at the Heavenly Village nearby, there are ample nightlife spots for the travelers looking to be in the heart of the action. Here are our top 4 favorite picks for places to spend an energetic night out on the town:
Opal
Located inside the MontBleu Casino & Spa, Opal Ultra Lounge (pictured above) is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10pm ‘til dawn. A popular destination for both tourists and locals, Opal offers regional and national deejays to get the blood pumping on the dance floor. With some of the best prices in town for VIP table and bottle service, Opal is a very popular bachelor and bachelorette party destination. The club comes complete with go-go dancers, heart-pumping music, and free admission for ladies!
HQ Center Bar
Also located inside the MontBleu, you will find HQ in the center of the casino floor. Offering a lively atmosphere, this circular bar has a large central “fire and ice” fire pit, craft cocktails, karaoke with Dreu Murin every Thursday from 10pm to 1am, comfortable lounge area with views of the casino floor and lobby, and live entertainment every Friday and Saturday from 8pm to 12am. Or begin your evening here for a beverage before heading into Opal for a night full of dancing!
PEEK Nightclub
As the South Shore’s largest nightclub, located inside Harrah’s, PEEK Nightclub offers 6,700 square feet of space, several bars, and spacious dancefloor, so you’ll be sure to have an unforgettable night of dancing, music and adventures! PEEK has become one of the nation’s best-known nightclubs featuring big-named Las Vegas, New York, Miami and L.A. DJ’s. PEEK is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30pm to 4am, and be sure to dress to impress; the dress code is strictly enforced.
The Loft
Located in the Shops at Heavenly Village, The Loft is a unique combination of a restaurant, lounge, and theatre, with “Magic Fusion” performances nightly. Enjoy a show, exquisite hand-crafted Italian cuisine in the restaurant, or the bar and lounge area, separately or together to create an experience tailored to your preferences. The Loft also offers late-nights in the lounge with live DJs, as well as serving food and beverages until 2am. Be sure to check their nightly specials!
I went through this article and find it very much interesting to know about these areas in South Lake Tahoe for nightclubs and partying.
Thank you so much Devon!!!!! I am a female, traveling alone out of state from Denver, Colorado area and staying at the Hard Rock? No where to dance here? Lol. All a girl wants to do. Is Dance? Lol!!!! Sounds like the Monte Blue is my place?
Would love to meet you and some friends that like to dance on Friday? My email is greatday1013@gmail.com.
Thanks for a great blog!!!!
Hi, Tanya! Thank you for your comment. MontBleu would definitely be a great spot to check out, especially on a weekend. The Hard Rock does have live music/shows, but doesn’t have what I would call a “club” for dancing. Harrah’s has PEEK (as mentioned in the post), that would be a good place to dance the night away as well. I hope this helps. Have a great vacation here in Lake Tahoe!
