One of the best ways to truly experience Lake Tahoe and it’s unparalleled scenery is to take a ride out on the sapphire waters. From one side of the South Shore to the other, you will find numerous boat rental companies who offer a wide array of water sport vessels: motor boats, wakeboarding boats, pontoon boats, jet skis, water toys (like kayaks and stand up paddle boards), parasailing, and even buoy rentals, should you be bringing your own watercraft.
Whether you’re looking for an active, high-speed adventure like wakeboarding, or a leisurely sightseeing float on the lake in a kayak, you will be sure to find a vessel to suit your adventure style on your next Tahoe vacation!
South Lake Tahoe Tahoe Sports
Enjoy a day of exploring and sightseeing on the water from one of two convenient locations on the California side of the South Shore. Tahoe Sports offers rentals at the Ski Run Marina and Tahoe Keys Marina, and they also offer a daily Tour Guide, if you so desire!
Action Water Sports
With the most locations in town, Action Water Sports offers watercraft rentals at four different marinas: Timber Cove Marina, Lakeside Marina, Camp Richardson, and also in Nevada at Round Hill Pines Marina. The Timber Cove Marina is also home to the Tahoe Thunder Jet Boat, which offers “adrenaline-packed” high-speed sightseeing rides to Emerald Bay.
Zephyr Cove Marina
Located on the Nevada side of the South Shore, just four miles from the downtown casino area at Stateline is the Zephyr Cove Resort and Marina. Offering watercraft rentals, parasailing, as well as wakeboard and wakesurf boats, Zephyr Cove is also home to the M.S. Dixie II (a 570 passenger sternwheel ship), which offers daily cruises out to Emerald Bay if you’re looking for a leisurely tour of the lake.
